H.E.R.S. Rating

All our houses are rated on the H.E.R.S. scale which stands for - Home Energy Rating System. The HERS Index is the industry standard by which a home's energy efficiency is measured. The H.E.R.S. was developed by RESNET and is the nationally recognized system for inspecting and calculating a homes' energy performance. A Certified H.E.R.S. Rating can only be performed by a RESNET Certified Energy Rater and Smart N' Construction is proud to be apart of the team. Houses built to the standard "code" score a 100 on the HERS scale which means:
 

• A home with a H.E.R.S. Index Score of 70 is 30% more energy efficient than a standard new home
• A home with a H.E.R.S. Index Score of 130 is 30% less energy efficient than a standard new home
